What this site is
ChemicalPeel.org is a patient education website about chemical peels: what they are, how the different acids and depths work, who they suit and who they do not, what they cost, what recovery looks like, and what can go wrong. It is written for people deciding whether to have a peel, comparing a peel with another treatment, choosing a provider, or recovering from a treatment they have already had.
Three clinicians have signed agreements to review for this site. A page is described as medically reviewed only after a named clinician has completed a documented review of it, and the page then shows that clinician’s name, credential and the date. As of September 7, 2026 the homepage carries that record; no other page does. Our reviewers and the review log are listed on our reviewers page. What a review checks, and exactly what “medically reviewed” means here, is set out in our editorial policy.
What this site is not
- Not a clinic. ChemicalPeel.org does not examine, diagnose, treat or prescribe, and the site itself does not provide, sell or book treatments or products. The clinics we are affiliated with do offer chemical peels; that relationship is explained below and disclosed on every reviewed page.
- Not telehealth. We do not offer video, phone or email consultations, and we cannot look at photographs of your skin or comment on your case. A message asking for medical advice will get a reply pointing you to a licensed clinician.
- Not a substitute for care. Nothing here replaces an in-person consultation with a licensed clinician who can examine your skin and review your medical history. If you think you are having a complication after a treatment, contact the clinician who treated you. If you have signs of a serious reaction, call 911 or go to urgent care. Who publishes the site
ChemicalPeel.org is published by MedSpa Marketing SEO, a subsidiary of The Search Sherpa LLC. The site is published by a medical spa marketing agency that provides paid marketing services to Express Med Spa and Catara Med Spa, two medical spa groups in Illinois, and the clinicians who review our pages practice at those clinics. We say so here and in our disclosure statement, and we say it on any page that carries a review record, because it is a commercial interest: both clinics offer chemical peels, so the people checking our pages have a stake in readers choosing professional treatment. Our editorial policy describes how we manage that, and every reviewed page also says when a peel is not appropriate, when an at-home product is reasonable, and when no treatment is the right answer.
This domain name has had other owners in the past. The current site is not connected to earlier websites published at this address, and we make no claim to their history.
The clinics behind the site
Express Med Spa is a nurse practitioner led medical spa group with four clinic locations in the Chicago area: Frankfort, La Grange, Shorewood and Mount Greenwood, Illinois. Catara Med Spa is in Algonquin, Illinois. Both offer chemical peels among other treatments. Clinicians from both clinics have agreed to write for and review this site. Under that arrangement they may contribute first-hand descriptions of what they see and do, share the protocols and aftercare sheets they use, supply photographs only with the written consent of the person shown, and provide dated price data that we label as clinic data rather than as a national figure. No page on the site carries such a contribution today.
Neither clinic is promoted on our educational pages, and we do not link a reader from an article to a booking page. We are building a listings section for clinicians and clinics; it is not open yet, and no clinic is listed on this site today. When it opens, a listing for either clinic will be labeled “affiliated clinic” and will not be ranked or featured because of the affiliation. We do not pass your details to either clinic unless you ask us to; see our privacy policy.
Editorial team
Pages are written by the ChemicalPeel.org editorial team, which includes health writers and editors. The clinicians named on our reviewers page have agreed to write for the site as well; a page written by one of them will carry that clinician’s name. A clinician never reviews a page they wrote. Our reviewers are nurse practitioners and registered nurses; no physician reviews for this site, and we do not describe any page as physician reviewed. Every reviewer has signed our reviewer agreement before being named here. Credentials are as published by the clinics where each reviewer practices, and where a reviewer has a published National Provider Identifier we check it against the federal NPPES registry and show the date we checked. We have not independently checked any reviewer’s state licence, and no page on this site claims that we have.

Each has a signed reviewer agreement on file. A page shows a review record only when one of them has reviewed that page, and the record names the reviewer and the date.
Reviewers
The full list of clinicians who review for us, with credentials and what each may sign, is on our reviewers page. A registered nurse may review a page whose medical content falls within nursing scope, such as what to expect on treatment day, aftercare and recovery, superficial peels, warning signs, and at-home products; a nurse practitioner must countersign her review of a page that also covers candidacy for medium or deep peels, contraindications or medication interactions. Licensed estheticians and medical assistants at the clinics may contribute first-hand descriptions of procedures and aftercare. Where they do, they are credited as contributors with their credential; no page carries such a credit today. They do not sign medical reviews.

Editors, writers and marketing staff are never listed as medical reviewers. Writers may use AI tools to outline a draft or summarize sources; no page is published without a human editor. A clinical page may additionally carry a named clinician’s review record, and only then may it make a review claim.
